Fire hazards are increasing everyday. Considering the increased threat of these hazards the Chief Fire Officers (CFOs) as well as Tariff Advisory Committees (TACs) of all major metros have issued stringent guidelines for the use of Fire Doors for upcoming high-rise buildings before handing over the Occupancy Certificates.
In the light of these stipulations all high-rise buildings must have :
Different compartments like corridors, lobbies, fire escape routes, shafts, garbage enclosures, electrical rooms etc.
Smoke free access to the escape route viz, corridors and shafts both horizontally and vertically by ensuring that fire does not spread to those areas.
Smooth and free flow of people and goods between the compartments in case of fire.
To convert these escape routes to passages free from fire and smoke they are provided with Fire Doors which enhance the fire barrier effectiveness of the wall on which they are installed.
It is recognized worldwide that smoke protection should be an integral part of any fire door. This new BASIC Fire Door has an absolute minimum of combustible content. Smoke minimized by the special rebate in doorsets. This method also substantially reduces sound transmission.
Ideal for heavy duty traffic areas to provide compartmentalised buildings preventing the spread of smoke or fire. May be installed internally or externally.
Basic Fire Doors are approved & tested as per BS:476-Pt.20-22 & IS:3614 for all three tests with respect to Stability, Integrity and Thermal Insulation by Central Building Research Institute (CBRI) at Roorkee India.
These doors are available in single leaf and double leaf configurations, with a range of colours and finishes and an option of rectangular or circular vision panel. As such one has a wide range of doors to choose from as per one's specific designing requirement.
Basic Fire Doors are a combination of strength and durability with highly attractive architectural appearance which is a rare feature found in steel doors.
